Latam Portability  2010 is the first of its kind Forum and Training Program for Latin America, specifically designed to share benchmarks, analyze and exchange experiences between countries with similar economies and idiosyncrasies. This program is developed in light of the imminent implementation of Number Portability within the short and medium term, by various Latin American countries.   
  
This event held simultaneously to Mobile Intenet, Social Networks, Advertising and the Role of Service Delivery. The event is organized in collaboration with Mexico’s Comisión Federal de Telecomunicaciones (COFETEL). This support ensures that  the experiences gained by the local regulatory bodies and the industry in general,  will be adequately shared and studied; and used by those operators that need to be aware of potential drawbacks and considerations not to be overlooked in the process of implementing number portability in their countries.

Along with the recent experiences in Mexico, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Ecuador, new markets are evaluating implementing PN in near future. Such is the case of Chile, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Uruguay and Venezuela among others. Latam Portability 2010 will house many of the decision makers responsible for  the strategic implementation and planning of NP from these countries
